1. Purpose and Scope目的与适用范围
1.1This method applies to determine the flakiness content in concrete using grader than 4.75mm aggregate.本方法适用于测定水泥混凝土使用的4.75以上的粗集料的针状及片状颗粒含量,以百分率计。
1.2 The flakiness particles in this method refer to the particles smaller than the certain ration of minimal thickness(or diameter) by maximal length or width tested by regulator.本方法测定的针片状颗粒,是指使用专用规准仪测定的粗集料颗粒的最小厚度(或直径)方向与最大长度(或宽度)方向的尺寸之比小于一定比例的颗粒。
1.3 This method of determining the flakiness content suitable for evaluating the shape and the ampleness of the tested aggregate.本方法测定的粗集料中针片状颗粒的含量,可用于评价集料的形状及其在工程中的适用性。
2. Equipment and Material仪具与材料
(1)concrete needle gauge tester and flakiness gauge tester, find graph: T0311-1 & T0311-2. The flakiness gauge tester steel base board is 3mm, the size shall conform with requirement in T0311-1水泥混凝土集料针状规准仪和片状规准仪见图T0311-1和图T0311-2,片状规准仪的钢板基板厚度3�,尺寸应符合表T0311-1的要求。

3. Testing Preparation
Prepare the dry sample by allowing the sample to dry in room condition and divide the sample by quartering or divider to meet the requirement of Table T 0311-2, then sieve the sample according to Table T0311-2将来样在室内风干至表面干燥,并用四分法或分料器法缩分至满足表T0311-2规定的质量,称量(m),然后筛分成表T0311-2所规定的粒级备用。

4. Testing Procedure 实验步骤
4.1 pick up the cubic shape of aggregate by visual inspection. Use gauge tester to test all the particles which may belong to needle particle according to Table T0311-2. All the particles grader than pore width shall be classified as needle particle.目测挑出接近立方体形状的规则颗粒,将目测有可能属于针片状颗粒的集料按表T0311-2所规定的粒级用规准仪逐粒对试样进行针状颗粒鉴定,挑出颗粒长度大于针状规准仪上相应间距而不能通过者,为针状颗粒。
4.2 Use flakiness gauge tester to test all the non needle particles which pass the needle guager tester. All the particles passing the pore of the gauge shall be classified as flakiness particle.将通过针状规准仪上相应间距的非针状颗粒逐粒对试样进行片状颗粒鉴定,挑出厚度小于片状规准仪上相应孔宽能通过者,为片状颗粒。
4.3 Weigh all the needle and flakiness particles of each grades as m1.称量由各粒级挑出的针状颗粒和片状颗粒的质量,其总质量为m1。
5. Calculation计算
Flakiness content shall be calculated as follow (T0311-1) , readable to 0.1 percent.碎石或砾石中针片状颗粒含量按式(T0311-1)计算,精确至0.1%。
Q=M1/M0 X 100
Note:Qe——Flakiness content of testing sample试样的针片状颗粒含量(%);
m1——Total mass of all needle and flakiness particle.试样中所含针状颗粒与片状颗粒的总质量(g);
m0——Sample mass试样总质量(g)。
Separate calculation of needle and flakiness particle can be done if needed.如果需要可以分别计算针状颗粒和片状颗粒的含量百分数。
